Saath
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 August 2026
This policy explains what Saath collects, why, and what you can do about it. Saath is published by Saathlegal and available on Google Play as in.saath.app and on the web.
The short version: your cases and documents are yours, they stay on your device unless you sign in, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
What we collect
Things you give us
- Your email address, if you create an account. You can also browse without one.
- Case details you enter — what happened, court, city, dates, notes.
- Documents you upload for explanation — notices, orders, agreements.
- Questions you ask in the chat.
Things collected automatically
- Usage counts — how many cases, questions, document pages and generations your account has used, so we can apply your plan's allowance.
- Basic technical information needed to deliver the service, such as error reports.
Saath does not collect your location, does not access your contacts, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Where your data lives
By default, your cases, documents and notes are stored on your own device. They are copied to our cloud storage only if you sign in and use sync, so that the same account works on your phone and your computer.
Cloud data is held with Supabase and protected so that only your own account can read it.
How your documents are processed
When you ask Saath to explain a document or answer a question, the content is sent to a third-party language-model service that generates the explanation, and the result is returned to you.
That processing happens to answer your request. Your documents are not used to train any model, and are not shared with anyone else.
Payments
Paid plans are processed by a licensed payment gateway. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. We keep a record of the payment — amount, date, and the plan you bought — for accounting and support.
What we never do
- We do not sell your personal data
- We do not share your case details with lawyers, advertisers or data brokers
- We do not use your documents to advertise to you
Who we share with
We share data only with the services needed to run Saath:
- Supabase — accounts, cloud sync and storage
- A language-model provider — to generate explanations and answers
- A payment gateway — to take payments
- Government or courts — only where the law requires us to
How long we keep it
Your data is kept while your account exists. Delete a case and it is removed. Delete your account and your personal data is removed from our systems, other than payment records we must keep for accounting and tax purposes.
Note that usage counts are kept against your account and are not reset by deleting cases or reinstalling the app.
Your rights
- See your data — everything you have entered is visible in the app
- Correct it — edit any case or note
- Delete it — delete individual cases, or your whole account
- Take it with you — ask us for a copy of your data
- Withdraw consent — sign out to stop cloud sync
To exercise any of these, write to apogeeedu7@gmail.com. We aim to reply within 30 days.
Children
Saath is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Cloud data is protected so that only your account can read it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we do not ask for more than we need, which is the best protection available.
Changes
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be notified in the app.
